Okay here is the deal with this ps2. my son had this for about a year and it was working fine. then it started to every time you would load a game it will not let you get past the demo screen. i don't know if it needs to be cleaned or if there is something really wrong with it. i had someone tell me it was nothing major to fix but i don't want to have to take the time to fix it. he is getting a ps3. anyway, it comes with power cord and the yellow, red & white cords. this is the slim one. shipping is free. you might can fix it or use for parts. good luck.

no the controllers and games are in other auctions that i have going. I didn't want to sell i system that may have something majorly wrong with it and have two controllers that work but they can't be used on the system.

There's probably nothing really wrong with the PS2. I have a PS2 slim and it is picky on which games it will play. Some of them will only go as far as the demo screen, as you call it. If you were to put the same game into a Fat PS2 I bet it would work just fine. I have had this problem with many games in my slim.

but it does that to every single game that he tries to play. The games work fine in other ps2 cause he went to his friends and played them fine, but not one game will play in the ps2 that my son has. He is getting a ps3 anyway, so if nothing is wrong with this one majorly then that's okay. thanks for the information though. At least he isn't the only one having this problem.

just to let you know christine u might as well start selling those ps2 games because the new ps3 do not play ps2 games but for some reason will play ps1 games fanned u

yeah i have the ps2 games up for auction on here too. I think it's crazy that the ps3 will play ps1 but not 2. Unless I get a backwards compatiable and finding one of them is hard. thanks for fanning. fanned you back.
