In this auction Enchanted Cove tests the theory of;

Basically, I'm clearing out my desk drawers, creative work spaces of all the JUNK!

I'm packing up a box of 30 items for you'all. Below is a list of all the items inside the box!

Thats so true. I try to keep all of my auctions with free shipping. (A friend of mine was like "why? that's gonna kill ya" but I like giving people stuff and its just another way of "giving" but you actually get something in return ^.^ also if I know I'm not going to be able to pay for shipping on an item I am auctioning I put the auction off until later or make it longer :)

I can't remember the name of the Triquetta when it is done without circles, leaving only the lines... like when you drawn celtic lines tha run in and out of each other. Anyway... I was an attempt to do that.... It looks cool. On this box, I guess the box wanted the symbol to be incognito :-)

and i just noticed that candle holder has the triple moon symbol! awesome!! i also like the purple bottle and necklace. along with the wooden box, those are my favorite items in the auction. there are others i can find uses for as well. and anything i don't want or need, i know people who would like them, so they won't go to waste :)

I understand. I have dealt with a few of those type of sellers also. Before I bid, I make sure I understand their terms, evalute their recent feedback, and then decide bid or not to bid :-) If I have furtheer questions about an item, I do contact the seller. If they answer in a reasonable amount of time, most of the time I bid... if they don't answer or very slow to answer, that shows alot about their commitment to following through.... That throws up flags that tell me "don't bid". Good luck to you in the auction :-)

I'm not in need of any of theese items but it is a nice auction.
Also I just wanted to point out that checking the boxes does not give anyone credits or experience points. It simply means you agree with the comment nothing more. If you wish to know where every credit you have came from it's available on your 'My Listia' page.

It is a Listia Moderater explaining the "+" sign and putting to rest the rumors of it granting credits. The plus sign is simple for looks and a way to express that you like a comment.

Hello all new to this also. And i also like the free shipping too :)
But i love to give stuff to other's that can use it that help them. But do to what going on with our nation :( It's hard to do that when your also low of income too:(
When i see this site i said wow that great now i can help someone :) Do to i don't need this stuff no more just sitting around . I hate to just throw away thing's that is good. someone can use it. And i have family and friend's now asking me to get rid of there stuff LOL. Will here i am and trying it out :)

I like the free shipping part too, I try to ship free but I now have over $200 in shipping costs from my free auctions. I have paid almost $10 for shipping a pair of jeans that I got 31 credits for. I have way too many items work out like that even after putting a minimum 100 point bid on the auctions, which is why I have over $200 in shipping costs now. I am going to have to stop putting stuff on here that will cost so much to ship and limit myself to small items only. Most of my baby items I had on here cost about $5 to ship or more. I'm going broke from my auctions but I love them so much. Sandy

Whew! That's a lot of $$$. I hope you won't take offense if I make suggestions.
These are tips I have learned along my Listia journey.

1. I never list more than I can afford to ship in a week. Before I list an item I always have it's box & packing ready to go. I exclusively us USPS for all my shipping needs. Their website has all the shipping info to help make these decisions. If it is a small item I will weigh it at home and decide the most cost defective way to ship & estimated time of travel for the item. If item is large, I visit my local USPS to gain that information. Once that is determined, I am able to set the funds aside for the shipping in advance. I never list more that I am able to afford to pay in shipping. There are times I may only have one auction :-) That just means I am within my own financial means with no stress or worries. Listia created this site to be a fun way to unload stuff.

2. There are different types of methods to ship. Visit USPS.com to learn as much as you can to save money.

3. Media mail will save you a bundle when you ship books, dvd's, cd's. Request "Medial Mail" when you visit your local USPS.

4. I recycle as much as possible. I try to reuse shipping boxes & packing. Though it was recycling, it also saves money.

5. I love to reach out to them in the comments. Take the time to see who is visiting your auctions regularly. When you notice the same people coming through... address them in the comments... People love to be greeted... it does help keep people interested in your auctions. I like to think of the comments area as our Game Box Viewing Area... We can leave a comment for bidders, you'all can comment to the seller, and you can even do this... "@Sandy, So nice to see you again! ((((Hugs))))".

I found these tips to be very helpful. I hope they will be helpful for you also.

LOL @ Ginger35! Your right I do have a big desk... It is a retired school teachers antique desk made of wood. It is entirely to big for the space it occupies. When I accomplish getting this desk completely cleared. It will end up on Listia for local pick-up....LOL
