The listing, Burberrys Weekend Perfume has ended.
My mom bought this for me, I used it a couple times and it is just not my scent. It's an expensive perfume though... The bottle is 3/4 full, if not more.
Questions & Comments
You may not know this, but your perfume is not authentic. Your sticker doesn't match that of an authentic bottle, the glass of your bottle is frosted (Burberry does not have frosted glass), the word "Week End" on your bottle has a space and an authentic bottle does not have a space- it says "Weekend", your bottle says "Burberrys" with a "S"...a plural, and only the "B" is capital. The authentic perfume says "BURBERRY" in all caps, and there is no "S". The brand is BURBERRY (Not Burberrys) so that's the biggest red flag. Also, the authentic bottles have the signature plaid in very thin pin stripes along the side. The knockoffs have thicker stripes. I don't want to the be the bearer of bad news, but your mom got you a designer imposter perfume. Please don't be upset that I am telling you this, but it is against the rules to state that a perfume is indeed authentic when it is not. I just thought you should know, so you can make it known to buyers- or it's likely someone will report your auction and/or will report you when they win this item and see that it is an imposter. If this was my auction, I would have wanted to know to...that's why I'm telling you. I hope this helps, and you can update your ad so you don't get in any sort of trouble. Just looking out.
Yeah I looked up Burberry's site and couldn't find a bottle that looked like this. My mom probably bought it off one of those online fragrance stores as she often does. Don't know why they should be allowed to sell something and not describe it to be a knock-off. It really ticks me off. So just to calrify for everyone this is not the real deal it is a designer imposter perfume, it still smells really good but if you are looking for authentic Burberry this isn't it :( Sorry to disappoint
Naybutterfly1, exactly. People bidding should definitely be reading what they're bidding on...if not, then sadly it's not your issue. I always read comments for this reason! Also, know the product you're bidding on...otherwise you won't notice if it's an imposter or a mis-represented item (intentional or not of course). Still watching though...you're a honest person, and I am curious to smell this version ;)
Bones, if you don't want it now you can stop bidding. Believe me, more people will continue to outbid you- there's still plenty of time on the auction for you to not have to worry about being tied in. As for the scent, it should smell very close to the the authentic scent- imposters usually do a good job at matching it up ;) If you don't like the scent after you go ahead and win it, then you are free to relist it on here...that's the beauty of Listia :)
I guess I will just have to relist for anyone that has already bidded and changed their mind. Anyone who bids after I wrote that comment I hope is reading what they are bidding on
I think you should be okay, technically you have stated that you're aware it's not the real deal now. People will probably be more understanding of this after they read it :) Also, if people are not reading the comments, they really miss out on important information...so sadly, that's a lesson learned for some. Thanks for updating this in your comments. I didn't know if I should bring it to your attention or not, but thought if I was in your shoes I'd want to know before I got in trouble...especially because it sounds like this was not intentional! On a brighter note, many people should still bid...many imposters smell identical to the real scents- if not better in some cases! I'm still watching :)
I can't change the wording of the title but it does say Burberrys and not Burberry so hopefully everyone reads this and knows before they bid. Sorry everyone, I really had no idea.
Okay great, just so I feel better about bidding- can you please give me the information that's on the sticker on the bottom of the bottle? Every authentic Burberry perfume has a sticker that notes where it came from, the ouces/ml/volume percentage, etc.) Thanks and watching.
:) It was a Christmas gift. She usually gets me something she knows I like..this time she took a chance, I felt bad telling her it wasn't my thing so I'm giving it away on here.
