I am not sure what knife this is as per your question. Here are my details I forgot. Blade is 5" and the handle is 5". When I look on the Cutco site I can not find that exact knife. I hope this helps the mystery as to if it is a 1721 or 1729.

I believe that that is the petite carver then. I would have to consult my paperwork. I am a rep. for the company.
Out of curiosity, why are you giving it away? Either way I am defiantly watching and if bidding doesn't get too high, then bidding as well. I love the product personally.

I so as well love the cutco. My Mom just passed away and now I have duplicates. she had just purchased some a couple of years ago. Not sure when. I am selling mine off that are a bit older but still , of course, in fine condition. By the way, I could sell it on Ebay, but I love listia better. Different way of "selling" but I like to get gift cards mostly. Thanks for asking.
