I just want everyone to know that this will be my last auction here on Listia for a while. I think its a great website and it will definitely go far. When I first came here I was looking for an ebay alternative as thier policies and fees have become very unfriendly towards sellers. I have had great conversations with people here from Listia and I am very glad and consider myself lucky to be in touch with and I definitely hope to continue my relationship with all you wonderful people. The reason why i must stop listing auctions here is because I simply can't afford it. All my auctions are brand new never opened or worn or used and I just can't afford to keep giving them out for free.

I was an ebay seller for 4 years and when 1 customer did not pay and demaded I send the product to them anyway, ebay sided with them. When I complained to ebay they shut my account down even though I had 100% feedback. 4 years of honest work gone due to one dishonest buyer. Please do not buy from ebay, you can buy the same product using a different website such as ioffer.com, bonanza.com, ebid.net, amazon.com and many more. Odds are you can get it for less as well as many sellers are open to negotiations.

I will honor all my remaining auctions here as I am a man of my words, no matter how low or whatever the final bid may be.

I fanned u,I today agree this is y I may buy occasions from eBay but usually not! it n my eyes it terrible price most times,n I won't sell there either they never answer ur inquiries back wen u have problems I hear n rnt fair! so I only on here ,but as always u for a b careful no matter where u r but here they make it easier to do ur resurch on people b4buying or selling!,but here listia always answers u back too!:D so nice! U do kno u can charge shipping on things people won't bid as much but only depends on wat u put on like this auct being heavier most people would.look at rules at bottom for shipping charging rules tho! I used this site n Craigslist quite effectively together only on Craigslist I ship smaller items n bigger if the people don't want shied n wana meet they must meet me n I'm always with other people n bring person n do it at public place with cameras! Hi - yes thank you for your comment, yes I do know about charging for shipping. The reason I do free shipping is because as a buyer I appreciate free shipping as well. I really like the fact that here on Listia all buyers must also be sellers. Therefore the understand what a buyer wants and needs. Plus the fact that everything is free makes it even better.

I'm going to check out your site - and i know exactly what you are talking about I was a 99;.9% Feedback seller on Ebay since 2004 - this winter I became very ill with double pneumonia and spent nearly a month in the hospital and because people didn't UNDERSTAND why I couldn't ship out their items quickly they left me low DSR's even though my family and then myself were in contact with them constantly with updates on my condition. April I began selling again and never had 1 negative/neutral feedback but since they look at your feedback for 12 months they completely cancelled my selling account all because i was sick and contacted ebay so many times and finally appealed and never heard back - ebay is a joke anymore!!!

It's so sad to hear all these stories. Some people depend on ebay as a source of income. So when an account gets restricted, limited or suspended for no real reason and without warning it is devastating. They have a punish now ask questions later policy. It's a guilty until proven innocent mentality.

Dear Roel, I have been an Ebay seller for 7 years and my sister for 9. She stopped last year when their policies changed and with all the fees, it was not worth her time. I too have slowly end my relationship due to extremely poor seller support, almost non exist~ unbelievable fees, cut throats, and I read recently that Ebay is trying to get rid of the "little guys" and promote Ebay Stores..as a seller this is true, that is all their ads..get a store, use our dropshipper, not to mention the various fees. I love your organic cotton shirts. I will remain one of your followers. I understand.

Had similar problem with Ebay. Despite my 'appeal', they still sided buyer that claimed they didn't receive the package. Was the ONLY lost package I had in 5 year 'Ebay career' !!! Was a pretty 'expensive' loss. I offered 'insurance', which the Buyer declined. Even so, Ebay refunded them the money and I lost the 'lockboxes', plus shipping, plus the money that was paid to me ! I still purchase items from Ebay, but no longer am a Seller there. Can't afford many 'loses' like that ! Great auction... Fanned & Watching!

That sounds awful but very typical of ebay. I stopped buying from ebay simply because since they have so many willing buyers on that site they feel they can do anytjing to the sellers and basically steal thief merchandise.
