The listing, UGLIEST CLOWN PIN YOU EVER SAW has ended.
This is a pin of three crying clowns; I have a feeling they’re crying because this is literally the ugliest pin I’ve ever seen. My wonderful late mother used to wear it all the time; it was one of her favorites until she died at 91. I figured if she really liked it, far be it from me to rain on her clown parade, so I held my tongue.
Now that I hold the dubious honor of owning it, I decided to give it up here on Listia to anyone like my mother. Surely there are some nut . . . um . . . unique individuals like my avant-garde mother . . . out there?
The pin is very large and it’s actually brighter, shinier and prettier (did I say that?) in person than in the scan, if you like this sort of thing. It’s well over three inches long and 2 ½ inches high and weighs about one and a half ounces, so it isn’t flimsy at all; very sturdy. Who would wear it? Are you brave enough? I sure ain’t, but if you're braver than me, go for it!
My mother was one of the bravest women I ever knew, in her own crazy way. She was a WAVE during WW2 and if she had been a man, I bet Pappy Boyington would have recruited her as a Black Sheep. (If you aren't old enough to know who that is, don't worry. With a mother who died at 91, you can bet I am.) She was also an actress, singer, she and her sisters danced with Vitautas' Lithuanian Folk Dance Troupe throughout the US. Yep, a lot braver than me. Anyway, I do hope her ugly treasure goes to a good home. Whatever it goes for is fine; I'm not greedy and if you're happy, I'll be glad.
Listia rules apply; thank you for looking and sharing a laugh with me. My very best to all; have a wonderful day.
