Other people have already bid higher, that's why. It works just like eBay. The system will only bid just enough to keep the winner winning until their bid runs out.

sorry im new to this, and i have never used ebay also...but thank you, am i able to see their bids? i thought the highest was 104 so i put 150 then it said i was outbidded by 151

Oh no, there is no way to know someone else's bid until you outbid them. It could be 200, or 2,000... No way of knowing :-(
