The listing, Hand Blown Glassware from Jamestown Virginia, Green Color has ended.
This piece of glass was hand blown in Jamestown, Virginia, only a few yards from the site on which English Colonies first made glassware in 1608. Using tools and methods similar to those of three and a half centuries ago, craftsmen today produce glassware which might have been blown in this early industrial "experiment." Fragments of the original green glass have provided a key to proper color and composition, so that the glass has the same appearance as the original. It is 4" high and 3" wide at the base. It has some pretty air bubbles in it.
