not quite sure, i didnt take it fully out of the box, because i dont want it accidenally messed up, incase someone plans on gifting it out. Not that heavy.. i think oleg casini makes paper weights that look similar but this isnt as heavy as that would be. It can also be used as a purse charm around a zipper pull..
