No hon that is definitely fenton! i have dealt with westmoreland and i dealt with fenton...westmoreland doesnt have as large of a company that has specialist painters. far smaller than fenton was! it is fenton! fenton is out of business and thats really too bad. that bell is a collectors item. i dont think i would get rid of it. all of your reds...go up fast! and with no more being produced..it will be in demand. and being signed....yep its fenton!

Correction, Fenton is not closed only now they just make the euro beads. They have sold the main plant that I grew up by in Williamstown WV but my sister said they told her they were keeping the Indiana plant open but only producing euro beads. The only way this can be Fenton it has to be before their mark was made and incorporated onto the bottom of their goods. To be pre mark it has to be from the I want to say early 1960s but not positive. That is a lovely bell. Would not mind owning it but I have so much already no room for anymore Fenton..actually husband said "enough already the house is full of that stuff" LoL!!!

I checked out the artist. he painted bells for fenton. he also had some dealings with the mary gregory collection. when i spoke of fenton i spoke of the "main" factory where they made all sorts of pieces. they were displayed and sold there. the 83 is probably the year the bell was produced and painted.listians this is definitely fenton.
