I just want everyone to know that this will be my last auction here on Listia for a while. I think its a great website and it will definitely go far. When I first came here I was looking for an ebay alternative as thier policies and fees have become very unfriendly towards sellers. I have had great conversations with people here from Listia and I am very glad and consider myself lucky to be in touch with and I definitely hope to continue my relationship with all you wonderful people. The reason why i must stop listing auctions here is because I simply can't afford it. All my auctions are brand new never opened or worn or used and I just can't afford to keep giving them out for free.

I was an ebay seller for 4 years and when 1 customer did not pay and demaded I send the product to them anyway, ebay sided with them. When I complained to ebay they shut my account down even though I had 100% feedback. 4 years of honest work gone due to one dishonest buyer. Please do not buy from ebay, you can buy the same product using a different website such as ioffer.com, bonanza.com, ebid.net, amazon.com and many more. Odds are you can get it for less as well as many sellers are open to negotiations.

I will honor all my remaining auctions here as I am a man of my words, no matter how low or whatever the final bid may be.

I wish you the best of luck ... I understand about the excessive cost of shipping and how many Listians insist on free shipping as an obligatory bidding enticement. Often the difference is just a few buck, much less than the value of the item... but everyone seems to want something for nothing. I understand this, as I am, too , on a limited, fixed budget, but it is dispassionate and hypocritical to expect free shippng from others and not offer it yourself. Don't you think? It all just seems to lead to ill-will..... and that is not why most of us came here. I'm as very sorry for the ebay fiasco. I had a $500+ fiasco of my own last year. It was an interesting and expensive LifeLesson.

I'm ok with the free shipping. As a listian here I am also a buyer and I do specifically look for free shipping, so I figures others do as well. I do my best to keep customers happy and I have had a number of repeat customers and that let's me know I am doing something right.
I'm sorry about your $500 fiasco. It is sad because you do your best to keep everyone happy but there are some bad apples that confuse your kindness with ignorance and try to take advantage.

When ebay shut down my account it was such a shock because about 80% of my income came from ebay. So when they closed my account it was the same as losing my job or being fired. But I did have some good loyal customers that when I explained my situation did follow me to ioffer.com. but obviously the traffic is slower.

I do business on Ebay and HATE the amount I give them for my sales. I just started listia, and have been playing her for a few weeks, I got 8000 points and paid $30.00 to ship, I figure it was worth it...
