Onyx and silver ring. Tried to use online sizer - seems like it is an 8 ?

I see what looks like a mark / stamp - yet, can't make out what it says. I've had this for over 20 years - just don't wear rings other than wedding band, now. My loss - your gain!

Not 100 % sure this is actual onyx. It isn't marcasite, as I have a marcasite bracelet and this is much darker. I bought it as onyx, but wanted full disclosure.
