The listing, BLACK NATURAL METEORITE TEKTITE ROUGH- Perfect for Wire-Wrap has ended.

Roughly 1" X 1"
The Tektite is known for raising one’s vibrations and strengthening the aura, making it a wonderful stone for those who are working to spiritually advance in this lifetime. One can work with the Tektite during meditation to expand consciousness beyond current limitations, and bring deeper insights into current situations or problems.

Those who are having trouble with negative entities can use Tektite in their pillowcase to help deter them. Regular work with Tektite can activate and enhance psychic abilities, is thought to encourage telepathy, and can help with lucid dreaming and astral travel. Tektite can sometimes increase the frequency of synchronicities, making it helpful for manifestation programs. Those who consistently carry Tektite during their spiritual work may begin to experience a thinning of the veil between dimensions.

Tektites offer some healing energies to help with the increase in vibration of human beings. Those experiencing blockages in the lower chakras will benefit from the ability of Tektite to clear them, although it is not a grounding stone. The Tektite can create a powerful energetic link between the lowest and highest chakras, facilitating the free flow of energy throughout the subtle bodies. Working with Tektite can enhance the ability to discern between truth and falsehoods one encounters in daily life.

Physically, Tektites help to enhance and accelerate healing from illness and injuries. Placed on the Third-Eye Chakra, Tektite can enhance the integration of higher energies received from other realms. The unique energies of the Tektite are immediately noticeable to those sensitive to the energies of crystals. Tektites are commonly regarded as stones of luck in many cultures.

crookedman I sure can't wait to get these credits of mine built back up. Took a year and a half break from listia and now I'm back. I like all your auctions and I also am learning more from reading your reply's. Thanks Terri

Terri you are very welcome, and thanks to you for your interest in my auctions! It's for people such as yourself that I make my listings available. I will confess to having found a calling, of sorts, in obtaining and making available to those needing them, an assortment of crystals, chakra tools, Reikki healing aids and Feng Shui items, and as I've listed them, they have generated some very insightful questions. I must say that I have found myself learning and growing as I attempt to provide full and thoughtful answers, often needing to conduct quite a bit of in-depth research to be able to answer meaningfully. I do not anticipate that this will change anytime soon, so keep reading!
Namaste!
Blessed be,
Victor

Also, Terri, I wanted to comment on your gorgeous German Shepherd companion! He's a dead ringer for my own canine companion, Jack Daniel (Jack for short), who celebrated his 14th birthday on the 7th of this month. He's getting a bit long in the tooth, and he has a few hip problems, but overall, he's in remarkably good health for a German Shepherd of his advanced years. I credit lots of love, plenty of ball play, years of good, wholesome country living and being treated as and believing that he is, a 'People' ever since he was a puppy!! Just wanted to address your beautiful profile picture.
Namaste!

Could you tell me the difference between tekite and moldavite?

The primary differences in tektites are composition depending on the strike site and what minerals were combined to form the meteoric glass. The 1st found were Moldavite, and as other strike sites have been found and other tektites found in the splash fields, new names have been coined for them. The name 'Tektite' is a generic term, which includes moldavite. A list of many of the types and locations of tektites can be found here: http://www.gemsociety.org/article/tektite-jewelry-and-gemstone-information/

The gem Moldavite is a meteoric glass, thought to have formed when a large meteor struck the Earth near Moldavia in former Czechoslovakia. Moldavite specimens are found scattered over a large "splash field" or "strewn field", and they are a beautiful green and show wonderful and intricate shapes which appear to reflect the passage of molten globs of silica through the air. Moldavite jewelry is thus "not of this Earth".

Tektites were first discovered in 1787 in Czechoslovakia (then Moravia) near the River Moldau, hence the name moldavite. It has been argued that tektites originated as a result of violent explosive activity on the Moon and were thrown all the way to the Earth's surface. Other scientists, currently in the majority, argue that tektites are of terrestrial origin. The issue is being debated in a lively way.

Name: Moldavite is from the River Moldau; other tektite names are from the localities where they occur.
I hope this helps, have a great day.

Hey, I'm learning every day! When someone poses an excellent question like yours, it forces me to go out and find the answers, so I have to thank you for stimulating my education. I was actually surprised to find how much variation there is in the assorted kinds of Tektites...I may have to begin a special sub-collection made up from different types of Tektite! Once again, thanks for the stimulating question!
Namaste!
Blessed be,

Alvie, I've queried the supplier of these Tektites, and he was less than exact in his statement of origin. He did state that they were NOT found in Morovia, but the most I've been able to get from him in a positive way is this:
"The 1 district. The Asian Australian region: including the coast of Australia, Indonesia, Southeast Asia, Philippines, Tasmania and other nearby, the value of about 700000 years of age."
I hope this helps, and I'm sorry I was unable to find you more exact info.
Namaste!
Blessed be,

Ever heard of Leklai? It looks very similar to it. If you don't know what it is, read about it, you'll find it very interesting. :)

Weellll...I've heard of it, but I don't rightly have an opinion about it, having never encountered it, myself. I seriously doubt these tektites have anything to do with Lek Lai. Lek Lai originates in Thailand, and while these Tektites originate in the same general area, they don't seem to share any of the known characteristics, and I have to assume that peoples from that area would not be likely to market these as Tektites if they could bring in 10 to 20 times as much for Lek Lai. It does sound like a fascinating substance, if you could track it down and figure out what it is...If you find out more, feel freer to contact me, I'm interested.
Namaste!

crookedman, That is my 4 year old son Charlie. He is also a human in his eyes and mine. I am real partial to the dark shepherd and would love to see a picture of your boy Jack. Wondering about your knowledge of rocks if you were to see a good pic. I have a few things I'm just not sure of and think it would be cool to maybe get your input. You might just have the answer, who knows
Thanks for the kind words about Charlie and we fanned you.
