The listing, Heirloom Mrs Amerson's Squash (Rare Winter Squash) has ended.
Heirloom Mrs Amersons Squash (Cucurbita moschata) 15 seeds out of a primo 55 lb fruit. If you are into sustainable farming or veggie growing this is a keeper! Squash Vine Borer and Powdery Mildew resistant...Rare squash with very little information on the net and there is one seed conservatory that still grows it but I have been documenting for 3 years now....It's a winter squash 110 -125 days 20-55 lb fruits with sweet bright orange fine non stringy flesh that resembles that resembles a butternut and a light tan skin. The plant produces two different distinct shapes Oblong and Round. I discovered (see pictures) that this squash can be eaten when young between 5-8 lbs and the skin is still tender enough to fry, use in a squash casserole or grated to use for a zucchini type bread....When fried young tastes like yellow squash...Super productive plant keeps bearing young fruit until frost....As a winter keeper 6 months...Very simple to grow, little care...Actually grew it in partial shade this past year and it did very well :) Happy bidding! if you have any questions please ask....
