This rusted Fleur de Lis finial was found at an Estate Sale in New Orleans several months ago.
I questioned the Estate Sale Host about its original use however they had no idea only that it was found outside laying in mixture of dirt leaves/ outdoor debris. Dirt residue cleaned from the pieces( I personally think it looks like it was a part to an old gate/fence) It tends to wobble when standing alone so you may want to lean it against a sturdier piece
