There is .925 Sterling silver and there is 925 sterling silver. This is 925 Sterling silver. It looks nice, but it isn't the high quality you would find in a high class jewelry store. The ring is worth about $10 to be honest.

The "green finger effect" is a reaction to the copper alloy in the sterling silver specially if you have high body acidity . It happens to about 2~3% of people and percentage is increasing due to increased percentages of chemicals in our environment and food we eat. Rare, but possible. But that's with plenty of jewelry.
