long blanket, good for cuddling, covering, keepsake, not so much for swaddling though. think about 2'x4'.

shoes and hat should fit newborn thru 6 months at least.

oddly enough quite a few people crocheted blankets for my son. maybe because he was a winter baby. maybe because friends and neighbors cared more about my kids than my husband's family did (sorry, his mom knows how to do all this wicked awesome stuff but never made me or the kids anything).

never used this set. the knots are loose, which makes it very stretchy and soft, made with soft yarn in blue, green and yellows.
