My old Iphone, got this when they first got hot, used it until just last year, replaced it with Iphone 3GS. I was keeping this as a back up for the worst case scenario of my new one going down, but it has proven itself to be quite rugged. This old model is a champ, they could really take a beating, and still work just fine. This phone has the wear and tear that a phone that was used for several years is going to have, but it also still works flawlessly. This would be great for someone thinking about switching to iphone, but wants to test one out cheaply first. It doesnt quite have the power and style as the newer models, and is limited in some compacities (recording video, no 3G, etc...) but it gives you the main idea. If you like this one, you will be upgrading before you know it. This one comes fully restored, as you see in the pics I still had my profile set up on it in one pic, then it is back to factory in the next pics. Phone still works as I said, verified it just now as well by swapping sim's and making a call and sending a text. Great phone, give it a try!! Without a service provided you will not be able to make calls or text, but the phone will still operate usind wifi without a phone service provider.

@pickmepickme540, I have had an iPhone 3G all the way to the new iPhone 4, and I've only had prepaid on mine. so I don't see why this one wouldn't work. BUT with the prepaid service, you can't have a data plan. you are only allowed to have wifi. (hope this helps). Very nice auction btw!! I will never have another kind of phone! :) cute pic too!

Yeah kinda, only way older. This is the first iphone that came out, the new ones are much more advanced. This one is still very cool though, just shows its age a little.

Hi, i have an ipod and i dont need an iphone, but i would like a camera on my ipod, could i use this without a simcard but still get apps to use and that way i wouldnt have to pay for the plan??

Yeah, that is one option. Like a very old model itouch with a camera :). Whoever wins this, if you dont want the phone service, i will make sure it is set up and ready to go without a Sim card. Right now if you turn it on you cant do anything without inserting a sim. In your case, I would put my sim in it, set it up, and then remove my sim in which case the phone could then function without it. I hope that is english that you can understand, im trying not to over analyze this, but dont want to lose a bid because someone didnt understand how this phone pod thing functions with or without service ;)

Yeah, I'll throw in an Ipod usb cable and a charger, no problem. Headphones are a different story, dont have a pair of those to send along with it. Sadly the original headphones are no longer with us :(

If you read the description you will find that I explained how I tested the phone and restored it. It is like it just came out of the box, there will be no passcode nor any of my personal information on it. Fresh install, to send you one in any other condition would be uncalled for in my opinion.
