The listing, **GROW YOUR OWN EASTER EGGS!***plz read before commenting "are they edible"********* has ended.

this auction is for 15 seeds of this amazing plant. very easy to start from seed and will get eggs the first year. eggs are the size of a normal chicken egg. Great plant for kids!!
eggs will start off white then turn yellow...:)))

The 5th pic is my plant from 2013. that was 2 months and 1 week after starting from seed. grows fast and is loaded with flowers and eggs :)
The next 5 pics are this years planting. Its about 3 months old from seed. So they put off eggs pretty quickly and they keep putting off till frost.

Save seeds for next year after your eggs turn yellow.

happy bidding..:))

**some websites say they are edible and some say they are not.. research before trying to eat!!**

(not sure why ya would want to eat them.. they have tons of seeds

Nice auction, I remember growing these as a kid and want them for my young nephews and niece. As for being edible, we did eat them as a kid, my Aunt sauteed them with onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, squash and garlic all out of her garden. They are a bit seedy, but no more so than a cucumber in my opinion. My aunt pickled them too and even added them to soups. Everyone should of course decide for themselves but I am 49 and haven't died yet and I ate them for years as a kid.

Good Luck, will be bidding :) And fanned you.
