This is the christening coin for the USS Bainbridge DDG96. This ship was built on the banks of the KENNEBEC RIVER IN Bath,Maine @ Bath Iron Works,Inc.I was employed there most of my life and enjoyed being a part of the construction of this ship.I worked aboard this ship and was given this token during the christening of this ship.here is a piece on you tube about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwkwWorR3T4
also this was the ship that intercepted the pirated during the incident with Capt. Philips you might of seen the movie. there are a limited number of these tokens. I know not how many though. It is certainly a beautiful piece of work.
