These well-branched plants can reach 3 feet high, and bloom in late spring or early summer in full sunshine and very well-drained soil that can be a bit lean and dry. After the blooms pass, continue to cultivate the plants, and they will reward you with interesting green seedpods that look great in fresh arrangements and dry into gray and brown tones for everlastings.
But it's the fringed, bright scarlet, fully double blooms with a white blotch that really steal the show.
