Up for bid is a softcover book, The Halloween Misfits. It's full color and in good condition, and the CD doesn't show any use at all! 23 big pages. Produced specifically for Kindergarten through 2nd grade, although some older kids will enjoy it also.

It was the winner of the Halloween Book Festival in 2004. Since this was not originally mine, I looked at some online reviews:

"Combining story with songs, it is a tale about a witch who can't fly who throws a party but doesn't invite anyone she considers a "misfit."

"Among those excluded are a monster, a skeleton, a ghost, and a jack-o'-lantern. When the witch concocts her brew, it blows up in her face, and the misfits come to the rescue, putting out the fire and advising everyone to "stop, drop, and roll." The witch apologizes to the misfits for leaving them out, and then admits that she is a misfit herself, since she can't fly."

"The music and singing are lovely. My children listen to the CD all the time and memorized all the words! Great story that has brought hours of fun into our home!!"

Some teachers have made it into a play for their students. Would be good for home-schooled children also! Smoke-free home.
