The listing, Lifelike Baby Doll - Girl has ended.

This is your chance to get a reborn type doll for free! She is very heavy and feels like a real baby!

Up for grabs is a "Sugar Britches" doll by Boots Tyner. This precious little girl is perpetually sleeping. Her hands and face are made of porcelain while her body is cloth. She is stuffed with a weighted material, making her look and feel like a real baby. Real eyelashes, and what looks to be hand painted lips. Soft blond hair. This doll was given to a child who took excellent care of her. She has one small blemish (in picture) under one of her arms.

Says on back of neck: "Sugar Britches" Reproduction of a Boots Tyner Design (c) Boots Tyner with a symbol and signature

I do so love the prejudice "no drama" comment above implying that all people on welfare are drug addicts and how prejudice/racist comments are allowed but my comment about the scrawny look of the baby's body gets hidden.

Racist? Really? Because the top hat lends itself towards a certain race? I bought a reborn baby doll that way $150 and looked 50 times better then that, it had a real looking body and hair and everything...... good auction but i wouldnt say that its life like or like a reborn baby cause that sounds like lieing to me cause its nothing like a real reborn baby doll.

Actually, the terminology is reborn "type", standard lingo meaning it is a doll similar in style to a reborn doll. And since you are not sitting here holding her, you really wouldn't be able to say if it does or does not look life-like. Pictures, as anyone who has ever worn a swimsuit before can tell you, do not give ANYONE justice, and certainly not someone who suffers from a pasty complexion. OMG!! My mother-in-law and myself made these for quite awhile. They really are life like and I have one that my husband (made by his mom) got me 21 years ago, Our first child lol. I got a baby for our first Christmas together!!. I still cherish her and sometimes even get her out of her bed and walk around with her too, when I'm feeling nostalgic.. for my daughter is a 19 year old woman now. Someday, I will pass this on to her and she to her kids one day. A great family heirloom and such a beautiful work of art!! Best wishes and may you get many bids!!

Do you happen to know who made the actual doll? The brand on the head is specific to the head and perhaps the hands, but most often the bodies are hand made by the purchaser.

i have 2 reborn dolls i gave 170 for but they have the real skin feel and smell.
So i see some of what the others are saying But they seen the doll and she is very cute and they don't have to bid. To me she may not be a reborn but she is still a good doll. To others she feels like a New born so they would be happy. I like her i am bidding
