i put some jail art on here once. lots of people don't realize how much is involved in trying to use those "non-dangrous" tiny bend-able pens. i know i can hardly even hold one. its getting colors from koolaid and food, pills, whatever the individual jail lets you have. its an entirely different challenge. i know i made a braided belt once out of banana peels instead of leather.

Wow, a belt out of banana peels! I have only written to inmates in prisons, not jail. Inmates in prison are allowed to BUY art supplies but I don't think you can in jail? Yeah it's amazing what they use for tattoos, ink from magazines, koolaid, etc. I had someone send me one of those bendable pens once and I agreed to use it for a day. Impossible to hold and write decently. Yet he handwrites me a 10-page letter using that thing? Thanks for your comments.
