Here is a neat embossed cigarette case designed to hold tobacco and papers. It has embossing on the lid. A few little dings on the backside and looks like it has been used as an ashtray. Probably plated tin or possibly steel. Looks rusty inside to me, but that's just from the pictures. Could be plated brass, but I doubt it from what I see in the pictures. Common thing back in the day was what is commonly called tin, but in fact is a mild steel, not actual tin.
