Meter strips: If dates appear on meter strips, they must reflect the current date of mailing with the exception of mail pieces entered after the day's last scheduled collection from the Post Office or collection box (DMM 604.4.5.2). Note that stamps generated from APC machines show the date of SALE, NOT the date of mailing. The date of mailing need not match the date of sale. $5.20 stamp purchased at APC machine and my post mistress assured me that it would be valid, however, if winner of this auction would rather receive an addition book of 20 stamps I will gladly make the swap. This is an either or situation either the $5.20 flat rate stamp or 1 additional book of 20 stamps. If you choose the additional book of stamps you will receive 44 stamps total with this auction. Your choice.

I called two post offices outside of my state and both assured me that metered stamps purchased from a APC machine would be valid even after the purchase date and that if you wanted, you can have a customer service agent at the post office provide you with a "date bump". I believe I have covered all the basic on the $5.20 stamp but as stated above will be glad to make the swap if you are unsure about the product. The shortie guarantee %)
