How would you play the game? Does it work on iPod too?

the box says just an ipad. and how it works is you download an app and the scenes come up and the action figure gets to do different things based on the app scene and how the figure is moved. anyhow that is what I get out of the package I do not have an ipad so I am not sure exactly how it works, but that is the premise
