The listing, Silver and Onyx Pendant and Chain has ended.

I don't know much about this. It was given to me, by my mother - she no longer wanted it and told me I could "sell it or do whatever" with it...lol. So, it goes on Listia. Maybe I'll get enough points to win her something she'd like! Her birthday is in August. ;)

Vintage Onyx and marked silver pendant necklace.

Anyway, this DOES have three marks on the back. I can't read them. I did two pictures of the marks - maybe you recognize them? The chain isn't a regular "chain" per se...more like a serpentine or snake chain. LAST IMAGE IS ONLY FOR EXAMPLE OF WHAT THE CHAIN RESEMBLES. MY CHAIN IS MUCH LONGER AND VERY THIN, COMPARED TO THAT PICTURE - BUT, THAT IS THE STYLE OF THE CHAIN. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO CALL IT...LOL.

I can't verify that this is authentic onyx - but, it isn't marcasite. Has a very black, smooth appearance - no glitter or anything like that. It is gorgeous and would look good with a solid color blouse, or just a v-neck blouse. I absolutely adore it - but, as I have stated in other auctions, I'm not really a necklace gal, as they pull my hair on my neck. Oh, well.

Does the stone have bands through it with the naked eye or when held up to light?
It would then be an agate.
