Never watched. My daughter got this as a Christmas gift 2 years ago but had no interest.

How old is your daughter? These movies run long and stories move along a little slow, too. Their accents are a little thick, as well. Roan Inish is directed by John Sayles, who wrote and/or Directed films such as "Lonestar" "Matawon," "Brother from Another Planet," "Passion Fish," "City of Hope," and "Eight Men Out." Not a lot of comedy or light-hearted faire. I don't think he does "lighthearted." I would wager to say that Roan Inish is, perhaps, more of a mature audience feature with a child as the protagonist. Great little story though. I hope it finds a good home. Sayles is a great storyteller. I have most of his films already.

I agree with empowermenthouse about Roan Inish. I have seen this movie once before. Out of the 5 adults watching it, I was the only who enjoyed and "got" it enough to watch the whole movie. Definitely not a flick kids would enjoy.

My daughter is 15 but she got it as a gift and she never watched. She had no interest. Neither did I for that matter.
