PAPERBACK, GOOD CONDITION

Far too many Vietnam veterans have encountered a hostile bureaucracy in their efforts to collect government benefits. Now the Vietnam Veterans of America and writer Kubey have assem bled a tremendously useful guidebook with material from veterans/attorneys involved in the struggle for veterans' rights. Throughout these pages govern ment agencies are regarded as adver saries. Major topics covered include claiming disability benefits, VA mort gages and education programs, pen sions, and rehabilitation; obtaining mil itary records; and upgrading bad discharges. A separate chapter covers women veterans. The chapter on Agent Orange includes a list of medical prob lems that may be caused by exposure to that defoliant, and there is a detailed examination of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Inexcusably, there is no in dex. Highly recommended for all Viet nam veterans. Richard W. Grefrath, Univ. of Nevada Lib., Reno
