Description

The listing, Dazzle* DVC-80 for Windows XP has ended.

This is a video "capture" card. DVC80 is an external USB video transfer connector which easily connects to a desktop or laptop PC (running Windows XP). Capture in digital signal by using the S-Video plug-in or Left Audio, Right Audio, and Video input (Audio/Video cable, WHITE RED YELLOW components). I have used it in the past and it worked great on Windows XP even with Windows Movie Maker. NO CD but you can install the driver off the official website. Contact me if you can not get this to work because I know this item works as it should.

Yeah, you could do that but like I said before in order to capture the video games you will need extra stuff like "audio/video splitters" so you will be able to watch it on your TV while recording. It don't recommend trying to play off the recorded screen as the video will lag about five seconds or more. So if you want this for gaming, make sure you get the splitters or else it will not work so well. Look up some Youtube videos on how to set this up. Good luck! P.S. This will work only for Windows XP!

I would bid, but it is out of my budget, so oh well, but Dazzle products are nice.

What exactly comes with both of your capture card auctions? I see no disc, but does it come with all needed cords?

Yes, as I mentioned no CD so you will need to download the driver off the website. All you will need is to connect it via USB port and hook up the audio/video components. If you like to watch while capturing you will need more equipment. This is basically for capturing old VHS tapes or hooking up an old film camera. I don't recommend this for gaming without proper extra cables.

Well cables are the least of my worries. You can get them off of eBay or Amazon for great. Thanks for listing these!

You're welcome. I no longer own XP computer so those are useless for me but I know I will be buying an updated version to transfer some of my old VHS tapes.

Does this work on vista

No, sorry. This is for WINDOWS XP and it might work on Windows ME/2000 but I can not guarantee. The reason I'm getting rid of it is because I have not use for it since I upgraded to Windows 7. You'll need upgraded version of Dazzle* capture card for like $40 on Amazon. Good luck :)

my question is does it work with 32 bit or 64 bit

You mean like Vista or Windows 7? It won't work on anything past Windows XP. I had Windows XP Home Edition and this worked fine. I have Windows 7 now and I can confirm that it doesn't work because the driver is out-dated. I'm not much on technicality when it comes to computers. Sorry.

if u use this for gaming how will the quality come out right now im recording my ps3 with vhs tapes its gotta be better then that say 360p?
Aug 20th, 2011 at 11:30:12 AM PDT by
Original
It would be digital input, so 360p sounds about right. Just remember you will need more hook ups in order to play and record at same time because when you're in the record mode, the video will be few seconds behind. You will need audio/video splitter. Also make sure you are running Windows XP because it won't work Vista or Windows 7!

I never tried it. I looked it up awhile back to see if it would work but I couldn't find a proper solution. I don't want to get any bad feedback if it doesn't work because it supposed to be for Windows XP and not any newer operating systems.

Could this record like video game gameplay?
Aug 24th, 2011 at 1:26:45 PM PDT by

Yes, but you will need more stuff like "audio video splitters" and such. Look it up on Youtube how to set things up. Make sure you're running Windows XP because it did not work on Windows 7.

As I mentioned before, this will work on WINDOWS XP. Someone told me that it should work on Vista but I can not confirm this. Also...you will need audio/video splitters if you plan on recording video game footage! Please make sure you understand because I don't want to be responsible if you did not read the description!
