Description

The listing, Dazzle* DVC-100 for Windows XP has ended.

This is a video "capture" card. DVC100 is an external USB video transfer connector which easily connects to a desktop or laptop PC (running Windows XP). Capture in digital signal by using the S-Video plug-in or Left Audio, Right Audio, and Video input (Audio/Video cable, WHITE RED YELLOW components). I have used it in the past and it worked great on Windows XP even with Windows Movie Maker. NO CD but you can install the driver off the official website. Contact me if you can not get this to work because I know this item works as it should. Item has minor scratches on plastic but no internal damage.

What is the difference between the DVC80 and DVC100?

Only difference is that the DVC100 is faster as it's a bit newer version.

I had Windows XP Home Edition and it worked fine but I'm not sure if it was 32 or 64...in fact I haven't run into those two variations until I got Vista so I'm clueless. Sorry!

Neat. I don't have any of the CDs anymore, so no software with this auction.

pinnacle site says there is a driver for this for vista, but not the 80. it also says you must have a working copy of pinnacle studio installed. were you able to get this to work without pinnacle studio installed?

I never used the Pinnacle Studio because it wasn't user friendly for me. The interface was rubbish and would lock up bunch of times. I used Windows Movie Maker and Sony Vegas Pro so it should work without Pinnacle Studio. I couldn't get it to work on Windows 7, and I have no Vista to test it. I know it works on Windows XP and I don't want any angry people leaving me negative feedback because it didn't work on their newer systems. This DVC cable was built for Windows XP but if Pinnacle site is offering an updated driver for newer units then MAYBE it will work. I don't want to feed anyone false information, you know.

It should. It worked for me. It works like most capture cards. As long as your computer can recognize the Dazzle* it will work. Sony Vegas Pro had a very good interface for capturing and was more accurate as well as had more output options unlike Windows Movie Maker. Good luck! I believe new Dazzle* cable is about $50 on Amazon.com and that one will for sure work with newer systems.

As I mentioned before, this will work on WINDOWS XP. Someone told me that it should work on Vista but I can not confirm this. Also...you will need audio/video splitters if you plan on recording video game footage! Please make sure you understand because I don't want to be responsible if you did not read the description!
