ok, now I am confused again about how many credits go for a dollar, I think it was $40 for over 41,000 credits, not $20. I'll have to go to an auction with more credits than I have and see what they are selling for. I think they keep offering more all the time for the same amount of money, thus devaluing the worth of our credits by inflating the price?
Is 2000 fair? I'm still new here, so if it's not, let me know :) Also, would this be something I could use to teach my 10 and 7 year olds survival skills?
Hi, yes it would be good for children that age. Right now they are selling, for $20 US, over 41,000 credits? So generally I use the ratio of 1000 credits to the dollar. This book may actually cost me OVER four dollars to ship, even if I drop it off to the Post Office on my way to someplace else. Especially when you consider the packaging, which I sometimes use recycled materials, or not, and had it been paypal for shipping they take out a cut.
So no 2000 is actually less than two dollars. My bid as it is comes out to about $4 after paypal even with adding in the 499 starting credits. Then when I do a Get It Now GIN ten percent is taken away. 10,000 credits GIN would leave me 9000 credits, of which about half would be used for shipping, leaving me 4500 credits for the book, which is worth it to me. Otherwise I will just let it ride and hope for the best. I hope you understand. Good luck on listia, it just takes time to build up points and if you get this for a low starting bid it would be worth your while to start up a paypal account.
Thank you for breaking this down for me! I'll admit, math is not my forte! Your explanation makes perfect sense.I didn't know a GIN cost so much! Unfortunately, I do not have 41,000 credits, but thank you so much for your answer and I will be watching this auction :) You've been such a help figuring things out here, I really appreciate that!
