Description

The listing, Antique pink feather pen! has ended.

Really pretty antique pink feather pen!
Not sure where it's from. Came from my Grandmother's Curio Cabinet.
The feather is real and the pen writes in black - still working strong! Lol
The pen and feather are in perfect condition!
All I really know is that it is super old and really unique! I haven't seen a real pen like this anywhere, besides the knock offs. An awesome addition for antique collectors!

you don't change the ink in antique pens you either dip in inkwell or later on you drew ink from a bottle up into a bladder inside the pen but this one looks so thin that i don't think that's the way.i think the pen is more modern than antique.i hope this answers your question.

Yes this is more modern than an feather you dip in ink to write with. But it is antique or vintage. This was in my grandmothers curio cabinet and was giving to her by her mother. So it was around the early 1900's I'm guessing because u grandmother was born in 1921. Hope that helps anyone out. : )

If this is antique it should be a fountain pen-- with a pointed metal tip-- and to refill it there would be lever you pull up and that sucks up ink from a bottle---or an even older type would simply be dipped into a bottle of ink called and ink well, as the previous person said. Now is it a ball point pen? if so, it's not so old......if her mother gave it to her it may be a fountain pen!

It looks from the pictures that it is a ball point pen... the ball point pen was developed in the 1930's, patented in 1938-- but was sold commercially on a large scale here about 1945.
