Description

The listing, Apple Newton - MessagePad 120 has ended.

Missed out on the iPad? Don't worry, you can still get...

Apple's Original, Most Innovative Handheld - The Newton!

Up for auction is a MessagePad 120 in surprisingly good condition. The screen has only a few minor scratches and everything appears to be functioning with the exception of the backup battery (3V, 2032) which needs replacing.

I'm including the 350+ page manual, so you won't be left with any unanswered questions. Additionally, there is a wealth of information online about the Newton MessagePad 120.

You bet they did and it was cool!

I think that Palm was started by some of the original design team after Apple killed the Newton.

I had one of these but gave it up because it didn't have a back light and weighted 1 pound without batteries!

Yes, it is heavy (making it cost quite a bit to ship) and without the backlight...

On the plus sides, it had hand-writting recognition on the whole screen and used a single database to store all your information. This model included an expansion PCMCIA slot, which some folks used for WiFi and even cellular service.

It was revolutionary... too bad, it's excessive size/weight killed it. I wonder if the same thing will happen to the iPad...

can you ship it to europe (belgium) and what would be the costs?
Apr 7th, 2010 at 11:32:55 AM PDT by

I'll ship internationally, but at buyer's expense.

It is going to weigh slightly more than a pound, I'll assume 20oz. (That might be a little light, but I'll cover the extra weight.) You can shipping costs from USA to Belgium at the usps.com, First Class International Mail is about $13 (USD). I'll accept PayPal for prior to mailing it.
