Description

The listing, Olympus T1000 Transcribing machine has ended.

The Olympus T1000 transcriber is a great machine for a medical or law office, but it can also be a great tool for authors or others needing someone to listen and type what they dictate! Included in this auction are the transcribing machine, new power cord (in the box) and a foot pedal that features rewind, fast forward, and play. The unit features a handy tape counter/reset button so you can mark the spot you want to replay. I used this model for two years, and I tried other brands that did not have any of the features, clarity, or ease-of-use of the Olympus! Sorry, but Headphones are NOT included in this sale.

This machine uses microcassettes which can be purchased at any office supply store and many department stores. It also features speed, volume, and pitch controls. It is by far my favorite transcriber!

I am Looking to get into this for a home bizz. I have five kids three of which are under four, so it seems like a good idea. Do you currently do this for a living? Do you think this is something I should move forward with? Are you selling because it did not work out for you? Thanks, I appreciate any info you can give. :)

Please let me know if you have any further questions. I hope I answered the ones you had, but I would love to get you pointed in the right direction if transcription is a possible new career for you. I enjoyed it immensly and wish I could physically do the work. As I said, I have several more books to list.

Actually I worked as a medical trascriptionist until I had to have two surgeries for scoliosis. I now have about a foot of metal rods in my back and can no longer sit and type for hours, but this was my favorite model of transcriber. I have several other books than can help you to learn, but I suggest enrolling in a college course either local or online. If you have a family, chances are you could get an associates degree totally paid for by federal grants as I did (in 18 months for me!). I can send you my email if you'd like some advice because if love to help!

Thank you that would be great in regards to email. I am looking into online classes now. Any other books I am sure will be helpful. I am sorry you had to give it up, and hope you are feeling ok. Please know that if I win it it will be put to good use. :)

Thank you. That's good to hear. I will get the other books out toward the end of the week as we are packing my daughter up to take her to college Wednesday and there is still soooo much to do!

I'd love to win that for my daughter, but I don't think I have enough credits. Oh well... :)
