I think the Rubies and Garnets are simulated. I really don't know how you tell the difference. I just know it was an expensive necklace at the time of purchase.

It sure is pretty and the Rubies sparkle.

Don't know that the metal is. Except for the clasp it does not stick to a magnet. From the color of it it may be some type of Rhodium finish.

Only markings I can see is JBK.
