yes it is silver, not sure if sterling silver though

i did research and it says .500 silver, I am not a person who knows a ton about coins but I have seen many graded and ones on the intenet I have seen graded in the MS 60's appear to be just like this coin.

Nive Coin Wow! It is Silver
Not a Rare Coin But I would say with the amount of hair I can See. could be J9.
J12 and up is About Uncircluated or better, The High Grade J17 Are about $15.00-$23.00
