USED - COACH POPPY LIMITED EDITION HOT PINK SIGNATURE BACK PACK # 15387 - NEEDS CLEANING

L /16" (BOTTOM). 13" (TOP) x H 13" x W 5.5"

This is a bright pink color canvas backpack with Coach 1941 throughout. It has 3 straps and a handle on the top. Silver-tone hardware. Closes with zipper on the top.
It has a zipper pocket in the front and two small pockets below that. They click shut whit a snap.
Coach Poppy Tag in the Front in bronze patent leather. Trim is in hot pink patent leather.
Inside the bag is a huge compartment with a zipper pocket on the one side and two pockets on the other.
You can fit a ton of stuff in this.
Overall it is in very good condition, HOWEVER IT NEEDS TO BE CLEANED. It is dirty and on one corner has a black mark (see picture) which looks like a marker. The inside is not too bad, it has some lightish pen marks but over all really is okay.
The round ring zipper pulls have "Coach " engraved on them.

I have thrown these into the washing machine to get out most dirt and any lingering smells. Not a big deal. Spot remover would help the black mark but who cares? It's not perfect but overall it looks in good condition. I don't see any rips or tears, that is more important to me. I'd rather have a good solid pack with a few cosmetic flaws than a cheap pack that falls apart on me after the first few times that I use it. This ad says a lot to me about the seller. A seller who let's us know about any flaws is a seller that I want to deal with.

Washing it would ruin the metallic lettering and damage the Poppy label. I use Tuff Stuff cleaner, found in the automotive section at Wal-Mart. It's amazing. A woman on the Coach FB group I belong to tried it on Coach sneakers nothing else had cleaned and it worked the first time. It's also great for getting rid of stains in purse linings--even ink stains.

My only caveat is the one you see on everything. Do test in an inconspicuous place, especially when cleaning the outside of a bag. I have a scribble C bag that the color in the letters started to run. I tried Basic H and plain water after that and they made the colors run too, so some bags just don't cooperate with anything. Nothing cleans everything but Tuff Stuff is a bargain and doesn't even smell too bad.

I did not even realize that I had used this before, but I use Tuff Stuff to clean suede and it works wonderfully. After I read what you wrote, I was just about to go and buy one on eBay when I saw that I had it here. It cleans suede really well. You are right that you should test on an inconspicuous place before doing the whole bag.

I've never used it to clean suede--have always used that horribly smelly, toxic suede cleaner. I will definitely have to try it next time. I used the suede cleaner on a Coach patchwork bag I had, and I had to sit outside to use the cleaner and still felt dizzy after a few minutes from the fumes. I use Tuff Stuff in the house all the time and never have any issues--so I learned something today too!
