5 in. x 2.5 in.I'm not sure if this is brass, got it at Hobby Lobby and goes for about $7. Used only briefly until I found an elephant one I liked better. This does not stay flush against the wall and has some side to side movement so a larger head nail is recommended. I never had it fall but sometimes a hat would come off.
