Description

The listing, Silver Plated Cup ? ? has ended.

In 2002 I went to an Estate Auction Sale.
The home belonged to an Elderly couple
I bid on a large box N this was one of the many items inside the box.
Ok this one is up in the air as to WHAT it really is.
This has the hsape of a cup, yet it has decorative cut outs all arount the top.
Any one want to give me a clue before any bids are made?
Then I could change the subject or add to information.
As ya can see in the photo's this cleans up really nice.
All of these clean up really nice N has that silver shine.
The reason why I am listing this in vintage is there was a pure silver cup in this box that had a Birthday date of 1904 engraved on it with a name
So with that I went to the early 1900's for the rest of these items I have listed.

I do combine winning items into one package, so....
I would appreciate if the winner of this auction would kindly notify me of other auctions (mine) ending with-in a couple days, that ya think ya may bid on N win.
This is to help cut cost of shipping fees to the same winner with-in a couple days of a win.
I ship packages out on Mondays N Fridays.
Sometimes I'll ship on Saturdays, just depends on amount going out.
I always ship via USPS N ship with D.C. so there will be no problems.
I always inform ya of your DC # N supply ya with the expected delivery date.
I always have USPS web service inform me of the date item was delivered.
If there is a problem with the item ya won, I would appreciate ya to contact me first.
I will leave ya feedback only after ya have received, inspected N left feedback for me.

Thank You N Happy Bidding

Depending on it's size, it could have been used as a salt cellar, or salt. If it is around 2 inches tall or across, that is quite possibly what it is. They were the early version of a salt shaker...small dishes made of numerous materials and often had a miniature spoon to scoop the salt out with. Hope this helps.

It's definately a salt cellar, Typically it would have a glass insert, since salt is corrosive to silver. Ebay has a couple of pictures of ones that look very much like this one. Also I'm sorry to hear of your loss and wish you the very best

This is more like a cup with the flat bottom ring, As ya can see in the photo #3 there is a sticker of some sort which seems to read Silvestr ? D or I then it has the letter R incircled kinda like a copyright has. The engraving all around the center of this item looks like the letter c all in cursive writing, but could be just a design. That's as much as I can see on this thing. Bout blind here so any ones guess.
