Well, it's kind of strange. My dad was growing up in the 60s, but he doesn't really seem like the hippy type, except for the fact that he kept his hair long. He's not into the whole bell bottom, peace, love, and grooviness thing. But I was into it growing up! I so wanted a VW Bug in white with a big purple peace sign on one side and a tree on the other!! LOL And I loved that pair of bell bottom jeans I had. They had patches on the legs and back pockets, can't remember what of but they were colorful. Rainbows and peace signs and butterflies I think. :)

Don't take that the wrong way, I'm not trying to be mean, just curious. I always tell people I'm a Hippy reincarnated or I was born in the wrong decade one! As a teenager, I had this pair of bell bottom jeans that I LOVED. I love the old VW Bugs, and peace signs & tie-dyed shirts.... LOL

Ohh MG!! I say that too!! When i was 11 i used to think i was Janis Joplin... Lol then as i got older i just Loved tye-dye, anything Peace and Love, I prefer my haur in long curls with a few scattered baby braids... Lol yup definitly a Hippy Chick... Lol It was an awsome time to be young, my dad had some great stories, now my inner hippy is more of a nod to my Daddy who I miss Dearly.

LOL He wrote a book, I think would be interesting to read. When he got locked up awhile back over his "bong" store or whatever you wanna call it.
I'm trying to think of some good things to put on here. I found some auctions my kids would like... and don't really have anything I can list. Usually, when we get rid of stuff {old toys they no longer play with, clothes they've outgrown, etc} we give them to family. Pass them down. My family's huge, so there's usually someone who can use that stuff.

I'm going to have to look for that book, i love stories about actors, one of my faves was one Lucille Ball co-wrote, it was a lot about her and Desi's early years, it broke my heart when she talked about how lost Clark Gable was when Carole Lombard died in the plane crash, and he showed up @ their house, drunk and sad, ohhh it made me cry.

I also pass down a lot of my kids stuff to my nieces and nephews. But sometimes i find some really good deals ( I am soo a shopaholic, and I LUV the clearance racks!!) so my last few auctions have been things i find on sale, and my sis has been giving me all her pampers codes, and when all else fails, i list the extra bows i make, here i sell them for $3-$4 and they sell fast, but i am going to have to limit my self on how many auctions i do, because my daughter is trying to win homecoming queen and the way they do it out here is the girl who sells the most raffle tickets wins queen, that way it's whoever works hards not just avpopularity contest, last year jessalyn tried so hard sadly the girl who beat her ( my baby was princess) only won because her mom practically bought the crown for her. And Jessalyn knows I can't do that for her, but if i see her trying hard, i will probably dip in to my listia fund.

Aawww.... you're Awesome!! I list Huggies codes sometimes. My kids are strange, they couldn't wear Huggies diapers, or Pamper, or Luvs, the only diapers that didn't break them out was the WalMart brand. Yet, the only wipes they could ever use were Huggies. Go figure! LOL

I don't read many biographies. I do think his would be pretty interesting though. When reading, I like to read about things that aren't real, gives me a break from reality and all the awful stuff that can happen sometimes. I love Stephen King books, and strangely those don't bother me but if I read some true story about someone getting hurt, it would bother me. I think it's because his stuff isn't real, ya know? It makes it easier to separate my emotions from the storylines, even if they are sad/bad.

I'm also a poetry lover. Of all kinds. My fave poet is Frost. Don't ask why, because I couldn't tell you. I just like Frost. And this guy named Spencer, I posted a link to a blog of his on the chatterbox.... I "met" that guy online years ago... maybe around 04 or 05, through AOL Journals {they dont offer that anymore, dang aol!}. He always has such beautiful poems. Some about love, and friendship, even fishing. And he had a different journal he used for his "erotic" poetry. But, the way he worded it, was so pretty sometimes. :)

Dude, why is it when you mentioned KISS, Gene's the one people know?? Idk, I prefer Peter Criss. I fell in love with him the first time I heard Beth. :)

This guy, we talked some, but it was always about poetry for the most part. I didn't have a crush on him or anything like that, but I do respect him and his words are beautiful.
I'm a music fan. I like pretty much everything! And when I say everything, I mean everything. I told Tweety one night my dad cursed me at birth to love music. He named me after a song! LOL I'm a little bit country, a litlle bit Rock n Roll, a little bit of this & a little bit of that. :)
