Flower forms a cone with petals pointing slightly downward. A single row of petals surround a dark center. Blooms mid to late season. Likes loose, sandy soil. Clumps expand and can be divided each year or two. Makes an excellent cut flower. Also, used for treating cold, flu, and immune system in general (all parts, but especially the root is used medicinally). 20+ seeds.
