This is the famed gourd that people have been growing for their feathered friends for years! Kids LOVE.... to grow them...to paint them and to watch the birds raise their young every year. This is a great project for the kids.
Some of the coolest martin houses are 30-40 of these amazing gourds hanging together. Not to mention the Purple Martins showing up to make their homes and catch bugs! Now that is organic pest control! Many people paint them different colors and hang them. Sow only after soil temperature has warmed up. About the same time you plant corn. Make sure to give birdhouse gourds plenty of room on the ground or train them up a trellis.

I have a few rules to make your auction experience a pleasant one, and they are as follows:

1) I DO NOT deal with buyer’s remorse, you bid and win, you get the item. NO exceptions!
2) I DO NOT offer tracking on any seed auctions. If wanted, tracking is a flat rate of $5.75 and must be paid via PayPal at auction’s end. Otherwise, I ship upon address receipt if not contacted immediately.
3) I DO NOT sell GMO products! Please understand what GMO means before you ask on every seed auction about it. If you continue to harass me about this, you will be blocked!
4) I DO NOT offer detailed planting/growing instructions or know the USDA Zone map. If you need plant/seed help, please Google it.
5) Be nice in the comments! No need for swearing, bashing other Listians, advertising your own auction(s) or use the comments section as your own personal soap box. Doing so will get you an immediate block!
6) I ONLY ship to Listia verified addresses! Please make sure your address is verified before you win the auction, I will not walk you through this process.
