This Stuff is Free Too:
Description

The listing, Reversible 1800's Choker with Locket - One of a Kind! has ended.

I have combined the 'old with the new' using my own designs with 'clay and crochet.'
Each piece, whether it be containers, clocks, or jewelry is a one-of-a-kind piece.

I am JUST STARTING to list my items so keep watching and fan me! I always fan back :-)

I have decided to list my work ONLY on Listia so that people can get and appreciate the pieces without going into their wallets.

I accept Paypal, well-concealed cash, and stamps in SHARED shipping cost. I don't think that either party should have to shoulder the entire cash burden for shipping.

DESCRIPTION OF THIS ITEM:

I wanted to design jewelry pieces that were interchangeable. Therefore, the crocheted chockers are listed separately from the brooches. The brooches 'close' the ends of the choker IN FRONT so you can use any type of pin or brooch. Mix and match with more of my designs or cool brooches from your own jewelry box!

This listing is for the crocheted choker with incorporated crocheted 'locket' that is reversible!

The first photo shows it more in the dark while the last photo shows more of the true colors in the light.

You can open it to place a photo on the back ring if you like and/or remove the ring of crystals.

A multi-colored Swavorski crystal is placed above the locket which is shaded clay of roses and lavenders.

The closure in back will be decided by the winner: black or ivory silk cord tie, snap(s) or hook(s).

PERFECT wedding gift for the bride-to-be!

Fanned you and thank you for loving this. I'm getting so many comments even on Facebook about this piece in particular, I haven't even been to bed yet---up all night getting back to tons of emails. I really didn't expect such a 'sudden' response! I'm delighted! I'm posting more in a bit or after I get a nap....goodness!.....

All of my pieces take a while to make but I love making them. Remember: I also accept postage stamps close to the shipping amount, no problem.

98% of what I create goes on Listia but I do honor 2% of requests for commissioned work. For example, I'm working on some chokers for gifts for bridesmaids. The wedding is about two weeks away and it wouldn't work or make sense to put them on Listia. There are 5 of them and a special one for the bride and they have special touches with the wedding colors/theme. So, yes, in that type of case, I sold them to the bride-to-be (and they're almost all done, thank heavens....and should be ready to ship tomorrow).

dear this is so unique, have you considered filing for patent pend. your talents are so special. it's about $100 to apply and then no one can do exactly what you do for at least i think 7 yrs. i want this piece so bad, like when you gotta pee and can't get pants down quick enuf, hahahahaa

I really love your concern but I can't patent them because there's no such thing as 'new stitches' in crochet, let along making a choker. It's my combination of them that makes them unique and a tad more current (so, kinda "duh" with the person re: dead people. They have NEVER been copied..) So, no, I can't copyright because I didn't invent the stitches. Good try, though :-) Now, what MIGHT be patentable is the closure in front with a brooch. I kinda doubt that one, too, though. Bummer, huh? But okay since I'm just bring our 1800's grandma's back :-)

wow, your work is breathtaking. i'm really mad at the dummy who said worn by dead people, however silly here is another way to boggle their mind just say that makes it an antique and now costs more to them, hahaaha i really want one of your pieces and have a postal account so i can print out labels for the amount or more, fanned

I just bought more thread today while waiting for MORE thread colors on request so there will be more.

Don't worry; there will be more and the idiot who posted that 'dead people' thing didn't quite think straight: after years and years, something like this would have been turned to dust. I think the only things that actually 'make it' are teeth and some bone structure.

Fanned you, too!

I'm your fan, too, and, boy oh boy, did I find 'lacy.' Out of all the needle arts I learned from great-grandma's on down, I never learned tatting. I'm taking care of that now. If you think this is pretty, I think tatted work is prettier. Go to Google and put in 'tatting' and click on the left for images. You'll drool. I did and IT is REALLY 1800's...well, actually much earlier. Talk about LACY! Wait 'til you see! AND THEN, I've found deep forest green and burgundy crochet thread...oh, my gosh...I'm trying to get this tatting business down as I do crochet and got a whole bunch of books, including a 'classroom' on dvd from Amazon. New things coming, that's for sure!

Fanned you and thank you so much for your kind compliments! Everything just sort of 'evolved' with these pieces. My great-grandmothers taught me all the needle arts except for one --- which I'm learning because it seems to really be a lost art --- tatting. Then things are going to get VERY 'lacy.' But I love working with clay so much and kept trying to come up with ways to combine crochet (a particular favorite needlework) with the clay...and here I am!....and they are :-)

Both of my parents were artists and my dad was also a jewelry designer so I'm very honored by your comments and compliments. Thank you!

(Now watch: I'll soon be creating clay tatting shuttles....good grief....lol)

15 1/2". Winner receives their choice of closures unless they have an idea to do their own. My separately-listed brooches are intended to close most of my chokers in front, but this one would, obviously, be closed in back with a hook and eye, snap, or satin cord to tie (black is very elegant).

AND, I LOVE to do needlework and it's been thrilling for me to be able to do what I love and give it away.

Danceroid, take your voodoo somewhere else because I'm a Christian and I get who you are. Fans, go for it. And, Dear God, don't fan this person. There is a bad apple in every bunch but I've been blessed with wonderful transactions and have new friends I'm proud to call my brothers and sisters in Jesus.
