Description
The listing, Six handmade sample soaps has ended.
Each handmade soap is approximately 1 oz each, one of them is closer to 2 oz. They have all been cut from large 2 pound loaves of soap that I have made. I no longer sell soap and these little sample soaps are still hanging out in my shelves. I would like to give them to a good home where the winner promises to give lots of attention by using them daily. In return these little soaps will thank you with soft, clean scents on your skin. The soaps are: Pucker Up Lemon Heavenly Rose Vanilla Cucumber Patchouli by Starlight Berry Wine
Questions & Comments
I've been trying to make my own homemade soap because my son has allergies to most, even baby soap. Every time try, something goes wrong. Would you mind sharing your recipes/tips with me? I'd appreciate it tons.
I would be happy to give you one my basic formulas. Do you know what your sons allergies consist of? Most soap allergies are related to certain chemicals or just a rash sure to commercial soap harshness because they have removed natural glycerin from the soap. In some handmade soaps, there can be a sensitivity to essential oils or perfume oils. Secondly, some have sensitivities to the base oils, most typically sunflower, coconut, our other nut-related oils. My basic recipe calls for a mix of coconut, palm, castor, olive, soybean oil with a touch of shea butter or avocado oil. If your son doesn't have an allergy to any of those, I will give you the percentages of the oil, liquid, and sodium hydroxide use. Have you taken any classes on soap making, or read any books on it?
He is allergic to any dairy, soybeans, corn and peanuts/tree nuts, as well as about 8 other food items. We have had to make our own cleaners and detergent, but I haven't had any success with the soap yet. I haven't taken any classes on making soap, I don't know of any that are given locally. . . I have watched tutorials, but I must be a bit more dense than the average viewer. Tee hee Thank you for your help, I'd appreciate any info you'd be willing to pass on.
