Whether you call it a crock pot out a slow cooker doesn't matter, what matters is they are one of the most useful kitchen appliances, right up there with the stove and the microwave oven! I've had at least one, sometimes two or three, on my kitchen, and have used then regularly for 30 years.

I didn't know much about cooking when I first got married. I don't remember who have me my first crock pot and list of recipes, but whoever they were, they deserve a prize.

Both this book, and their first one, (same title, minus entertaining) are fantastic, and in my personas collection.

Don't worry about the word "entertaining" , cause these recipes can be used for anything. It is an extremely versatile cookbook, giving you recipes for a wide range of foods.

Be sure and look at ALL my images, I took pictures of the front and back, contents, introduction, and the first page of recipes. Flipping to another random page, I see, Cheesy Potatoes and Ham; Ham, Bean and Potato Dish; Cheesy Ham Topping (for baked potatoes); Ham and Hash Browns (yummy, I've made this one)... I could go on forever....

EVERY ONE NEEDS A CROCK POT, THIS BOOK, AND THEIR FIRST BOOK.

It is SO NICE to come home smelling dinner almost done, needing just a couple of touches to make it a gourmet meal, and most of it happened while you were gone.

A new crock pot plus this book and perhaps their first book, would make a great housewarming or wedding gift for a young couple. The reason my crock pot population changes, I'd I keep giving them away, with at least one cookbook, to spread the word, CROCK POTS ARE AWESOME!
