Description

The listing, Watermelon Seed Trio 1 Hybrid & 2 Heirlooms 24 Seeds 8 of Each Variety FREE SHIPPING has ended.

Here are 3 of my favorite watermelons with seeds. I prefer the seeded melons cause most seedless varieties are GMO's or melons hybridized to be seedless and also tasteless.
Photo #1 Yellow Doll is a hybridized variety that is a great smaller ice box melon similar to the popular dark green Sugar Babies. It has yellow firm flesh and is one of the first melons to mature.

Photo #2 ‘Osh Kirgiza’ aka Pink Russian watermelon is a heirloom variety from Russia with a distinctive bright striped skin. The flesh is pink with seeds that have a reddish color to them. A wonderfully sweet melon. A mid sized rounder melon that stores well and for up to a month (whole not cut) in a refrigerator.

Photo #3 Ali Baba Watermelon. A heirloom variety that has the flavor of watermelon that one expects. It has a pale green skin with a red pink flesh. The seeds are brown with a black molting on them. A popular variety in the Middle East and also known to originate from there.

You will receive 8 seeds of each variety for a total of 24 seeds!!!
All seeds were harvested from melons I acquired from an Amish farm that grows heirloom varieties and open pollinated.
Questions & Comments

You do know that the hybrid seeds won't grow the same watermelons, right? That's how it works, hybrids only work for one generation and then they revert back to one or the other melon they were blended from. If you know what melons they are hybrids of, please post that and we will know what to expect. Also, some hybrid seeds won't sprout at all after the first generation, so you may want to revise this listing to just the heirloom seeds. Not trying to hurt your listing, just trying to be helpful! Best of luck!

All of the hybrid seeds planted by the farmer will produce similar plants while the seeds of the next generation from those hybrids will not consistently have the desired characteristics. I any case it's worth a try to see what happens. As far as listing the two kinds that were cross pollinated you can research this on the Internet.
