this device runs on 4 "aaa" batteries that can be replaced. time/life of the batteries you use and the device being charged. totally depend on the quality of batteries you use,i use energizer advanced lithium and i get 12-20 hrs talk time or 4 to 10 full charges, and also depends on the device you are recharging. when your in need of instant power the is no substitute for this charger , this is as close to a wall charger you can get for on the go and the size is very convenient.but this powerpack is totally reusable forever! not a one and done or under power charging device that is obsolute with todays high perforfance power demands of present day cell phones/tablets ect.
this is a must have for anyone on the go and dosen't want to be or can be next to a wall jack charger all day. it is as fast of a charger as a wall jack charger.
the charger has an on/off switch so you can be sure it/you are not wasting batteries. look closly at the pictures of when the charger is on and charging or when it is off. they work better than chargers/power supples i spent $50 dollars or more on.
