Lovely vintage metal embroidered satin collar by Baar & Beards, NYC. Crafted in India, this collar is probably ca. 1950s-1960s. I doubt if it is much earlier. The metal embroidery has remained pretty much intact. The pearls at the center of the embroidered flowers seem to have lost some of their coating, but are stunning nonetheless. Standard collar size, much like we used to wear with our cardigans in high school. Hook and eye closure, flap to tuck your cardigan neckline into for a more stable fit around your neck. Creamy ivory satin has a bit of foxing but it is vintage and probably older than some of you out there....(lol). Still quite wearable and definitely collectible.
